A mosaic of secondary woodland, scrub and grassland just north of Loughton. It has a small area of heather, suggesting that it might once have been part of a larger heathland. Bugle grows in the woods and tormentil and ragged robin feature in the grassland.
Visiting
Access from England's Lane, Loughton, opposite Loughton Golf Course. Street parking.
Accessible at all times.
A surfaced circular path runs around the reserve.
